Hello and thanks for joining me.

Today’s blog is about what can hinder our prayers.

The first thing that comes to my mind is unconfessed sin. As Christians we all fall short. But at the end of our day we are able to confess our short comings to our Lord and ask for forgiveness. When we repent and confess our sins we are wiping our slate clean before our Lord.

Being aware of what hinders our prayers is helpful and helps us to stay in check. Another area we should be aware of is when we are being selfish. We need to be mindful and intentional with our actions. Being aware of when we are being selfish instead of selfless will help us to curtail our ways and help redirect ourselves in a manner in which is more pleasing to God.

In addition to the unconfessed sin and being selfish here are other areas that can hinder our prayers;

  • Unbelief, distrust and doubt.
  • Not forgiving others and permitting the continuation of bitterness.
  • Little or no unity in the home, especially between husband and wife.

Remember that it is essential that we take note of these things so we know with certainty that our prayers are not hindered in any way.

God bless you and thanks again for joining me.
